Laser Particle Size analyser (LPSA) - Malvern Mastersizer 2000
The Mastersizer measure the distribution of different grain sizes within a sample. Sample preparation is the most important stage of making a measurement.
The representative fine sand to clay grade sample (few gm) is dispersed in distilled water after preliminary treatment. The sample is prepared and dispersed to the correct concentration and then delivered to the optical bench. Sample preparation is the most important stage of making a measurement. If the sample is poorly prepared (unrepresentative or badly dispersed) then he basic data will be incorrect.
Sample should be fine sand to clay grade and few gm of the representative sample is required. Please send samples only after contacting the Laboratory and knowing the cost and turn-around time.
